Bill Thomson Biography
Bill Thomson is an artist working out of his studio in Southington,
Connecticut. Thomson graduated from Syracuse University in 1985 and his work
has appeared in diverse advertising, book, and editorial assignments for
clients across the United States. Thomson recently illustrated his first
children's book, Karate Hour,
for Cavendish Children's Books. Thomson's work has been recognized in the most prestigious national and regional illustration competitions including the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts Magazine, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, STEP inside design Magazine, and the Connecticut Art Directors Club. His work has also been exhibited in numerous group shows in New York and across the country. Bill Thomson is an Assistant Professor of Illustration at the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford where he received Outstanding Teachers of the Year Award in 2004.
